Duane HartmanDuane is a highly experienced surveyor with over 45 years of experience with topographic mapping, geodetic control densification, land ownership research, and location surveying.  There is not much in the profession of surveying that Duane has not accomplished, and this includes extensive experience with large, urban, industrial properties with multiple adjacent parcels.  The majority of this work has been performed in King County.  Duane has worked on what was then, Boeing Field since the 1950’s.

In 1993, Duane acquired the assets and records of P/E and relocated to Woodinville to open Duane Hartman & Associates, Inc. (DHA) surveyors.  Since then, he as completed over 1.000 projects for The Boeing Company and Boeing Realty Corporation.  He was the project surveyor for 13 years on the Sound Transit Light Rail project providing roadway mapping, GPS control and right of way acquisition support for both Tacoma and Seattle Links.  Duane shared over 50-percent of his surveying budget with disadvantage business enterprises.  The plan incorporated training DBE’s in the art of municipal roadway mapping employing foremost technology tutored by DHA’s experienced staff. Douglas A. Hartman, PLS - President

Douglas Hartman Doug is a highly experienced land surveyor with over 25 years in the land surveying profession.    Doug, licensed in 2000, is a specialist in GPS methodology and has conducted numerous surveys on large, urban, industrial properties, tenant lease surveys at King County International Airport, and the Boeing Company’s Everett, Seattle and Renton Facilities. 

In 1993, Doug joined Duane Hartman & Associates, Inc. at its inception.  Working as a project manager, he continued to expand knowledge to his present status of professional land surveyor and vice president of DHA.  His duties at DHA include over-seeing survey crews, CAD technicians and managing his assigned projects from proposal to final delivery.

Doug worked with HDR-Pharos Corporation on the Sound Transit and BN&SF/Commuter Rail Right of Way acquisition from Seattle to Tacoma.  He directed right of way location; parcel acquisition maps with taking legal descriptions and area, boundary line adjustments, geodetic densification surveys, land corner monument ties and ownership research necessary to support the 35-miles of Commuter Rail corridor from Seattle to Tacoma. Staked corners and recorded the surveys, as needed, for 141 right of way parcels. 

Doug currently provides surveying services with Northshore Utility District and the City of Edmonds on an on-call basis.  Northshore is an ongoing contract started in 2000.  As DHA’s president and production manager, Doug is responsible for directing all of the firm’s projects.   Please feel free to contact Doug directly at doug@dhasurveyors.com.
